Sennheiser — The Inner Voice
Commercial · Sennheiser Audiophile Range
Commercial for Sennheiser’s Audiophile Range, carried by the actor Ken Duken. Multiple wins at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2018.
Cinematic brand film for Sennheiser’s Audiophile Range — and the first joint work of Max Tsui and actor Ken Duken.
At the centre of the film is something invisible: sound. Not as a technical property, but as an emotional state — memory, intimacy, intuition. The Inner Voice does not try to explain headphones; it tries to translate the feeling that music can release in a person.
The film moves between light, silence and inner monologue. Much is deliberately reduced: glances, small movements, the spaces between words. The visual language follows less the logic of classical product imagery and more a quiet, almost introspective atmosphere.
The collaboration between Ken Duken and Max Tsui began here for the first time — a creative connection from which several further joint projects later grew. The mix of cinematic calm, personal closeness and controlled visual language decisively shaped the film’s atmosphere.
The Inner Voice received multiple awards at the 2018 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards — including a Silver Dolphin in the main category "Marketing Communication · B2C" and two Black Dolphins for Best Directing and Best Editing. The film also won at the 2018 ADC Main Competition in the category Music/Sound · Sound Design.
